I wanted talk more of the process of healing. The rollercoasters of emotions of hurt, anger and sadness you can ride out. But my seat belt during the ride was my art. It wasn’t medication which left me a zombie it was always be art.
I created this short video to show some of my painting details of a self portrait. I am creating a series of three self portraits. This is the first of the series.
” Self Portrait 1, shroud of Turin ... the negative falls to your crucifixion”, mixed media on fabric, 5 feet by 2 feet.
I have had some “no” sayers telling me I’m not a ”real artist”, cause of how I explore personal storytelling using art. They believe “Art healing” has No place with the arts in a professional world. I think the ”no” sayers are very funny. I’m just sharing a story ... so what ... I’m going to do it anyway ..
